Obama: Watch for trillion dollar deficits

President-elect Obama is telling the public that the US may run a trillion dollar deficit to bailout the economy.

Webmaster’s Commentary:

I have a better idea.

STOP THE WARS! They have cost about a trillion (not counting the $2.3 trillion the Pentagon totally misplaced).

If we were to give up killing brown people, we could save a bundle of money, cut taxes 50%, which would reignite our economy overnight. I for one am willing to forgo the privilege of killing brown people. Frankly, it is not as much fun as the Victoria’s Secret fashion show anyway, but I digress.

The point is, a modern economic nation should be thinking in terms of making their people prosperous. This in turn makes the government prosper. Henry Ford understood this; why don’t you?

The fact is that unless you are a weapons maker (and few of us are) war is actually a huge money LOSER. And all these recent wars seem to be fought for Israel, whose claim to take possession of the land they are grabbing is based on a religious mythology. There is no science to back these claims up. The artifacts from Solomon’s Temple were fakes, and genetically the present-day Israelis are mostly descended from central Asian Khazars. not the biblical Hebrews. So….
